Handball: Russia crushed Norway
Norway lost 20-28 to Russia in the semifinal of the women’s handball World Championships in Nanjing, East China on Friday, and Norway will now meet Spain in the bronze medal match.
Norway began well, and at one point led 7-4, and were even 11-11 at 21 minutes, but then, with Norway’s personal mistakes and a bewildered defense and goal keeper, Russia won deservedly.
Russia, bidding for a third consecutive world title, will now take on France in the final on Sunday.
