Handball: No semifinal for Norway
Norway’s men failed to reach the semifinal of the European Handball Championships, after losing 34-35 to Iceland in the main round in Vienna on Thursday. Iceland led 18-16 at half-time.
Norway would have had to win against Iceland by four goals to get to the semifinals. The Norwegian team led only twice in the match, but Iceland never got too far ahead.
Norway equalized to 28-28 eleven minutes before the end, but Iceland was three ahead just 90 seconds before full time.
– We lost for a better team, said Norway coach Robert Hedin.
