Stein Edvardsen laid on his stomach for several hours to remove the paint.
“I used a regular wire brush. Now the graffiti is completely gone,” says Stein Edvardsen, leader of the Stavanger BASE club, to Aftenbladet.no.
Together with his partner, he used Saturday to go up to Kjeragbolten at Lysefjord in Rogaland and remove the spray paint.
Stavanger Aftenblad reported for the first time about the grafitti marring the world-famous stone in Lysefjord September 29 of this year. It was Øystein Bache and his son Sigurd who originally reported the vandalism.
“The trip was fantastic and the weather was beautiful at 16 degrees and sunny up there. But it put a little damper on the mood to see the stone soiled. It was not as wild nature should look,” said Øystein Bache a month ago.
Now the stone has regained its natural beauty and the yellow spray paint is completely gone.
