Foreign journalists press Lippestad for information

Geir Lippestad was appointed as Anders Behring Breivik's lawyer in July 2011.
Geir Lippestad, lawyer to Anders Behring Breivik, has been pressed for information concerning his client by foreign journalists, and even threatened.
“I have been pressed by reporters. Some of these publications, which I will refer to as junk, live by very different standards than the Norwegian press does,” said Geir Lippestad, Anders Behring Breivik’s lawyer, to VG.
Lippestad, who has probably been one of the most sought-after lawyers in Europe this fall, says that when the storm was at its worst around him in the days after 22 July, he was approached by foreign journalists who actually threatened him for information.
“They said that if I did not want help, they would print rumors and fictional stories about me and my background,” said Lippestad.
Earlier, he told TV 2 about two foreign journalists who suddenly had found their way into his house. Here they were met by Lippestad’s three-year-old daughter.
“She came running after discovering them. They were asking after me for an interview. I told them to leave immediately, and they did,” said Lippestad at the time.
