Soccer: Rosenborg goes to top in Snowstorm
Rosenborg top the Norwegian Tippeligaen with two games played after they followed up their opening day win over Vålerenga with a 4-2 win in Tromsø. Three points were won in a snowy Alfheim stadium in the first away game of the season.
The Trondheim-based visitors took the lead after 16 minutes through Ghanaian Alexander Tettey’s second goal of the season and they doubled the lead 11 minutes later through Marek Sapara.
Rosenborg, who last won the league in 2006, went further ahead after Helge Haugen scored an own goal five minutes before the break before Vadim Demidov rounded off the scoring two minutes after half time.
Tromsø hit back and scored twice through Mika Koppinen and a penalty converted by Sigurd Rushfeldt. The result means Rosenborg lead Molde at the top of the table while Tromsø are still searching for their first win.
