ONLINE: Vesterheim May Bokprat (Book Club)

book cover for The SnowmanDr. Maren Johnson, Luther College’s Associate Professor of Nordic Studies and Torgerson Center for Nordic Studies Director, facilitates a monthly bokprat, discussing Scandinavian authors and Scandinavian life.

Join in Dr. Johnson in May for a conversation about one of Jo Nesbø’s most famous novels, The Snowman, part of the Harry Hoel detective series. Harry investigates the disappearance of a young boy’s mother when he comes to discover that women have disappeared on the day of the first snow for the past several years. This novel is currently being made into a film, so join the discussion before it hits the big screen!

Supplies: A computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.

Special Instructions: Registrants should secure their own copy of the book and have read it prior to the discussion. When registering for the class, please make sure to use the email address you’d like the Zoom meeting invitations sent to. You will receive a link to the Zoom sessions by email sometime during the week prior to the discussion.
