ONLINE: The Riverside Winds Perform Music of Scandinavia

October 2 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Riverside Winds

Preeminent Twin Cities woodwind quintet, The Riverside Winds, present a concert of music by composers from all five Scandinavian countries. This concert is presented by the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota in collaboration with the LEIF Eriksson International Festival.

This program was designed in celebration of the 2019 Sesquicentennial of Augsburg University. It features music from Augsburg’s unique and extensive collection of Scandinavian chamber music and songs, a gift to the University from the Scandinavian American Foundation.

Norway House and the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota are thrilled to present this live-streamed concert performance. The players are happy to get together to make music at a distance in the acoustic, ambient, and air controlled of Augsburg’s Sateren Auditorium. The program is free and available to all, with a suggested donation of $20 to defray performer and production expenses. More details about streaming access to come.

The Riverside Winds:

Trudi Anderson, flute
Merilee Klemp, oboe
Jennifer Gerth, clarinet
Charles Hodgson, French Horn
Laurie Merz, bassoon

Composer Randall Davidson will act as host and emcee.
