ONLINE: Needle Felted Reindeer
9 December, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Known as reindeer in Europe and Caribou in North America, this delightful member of the deer family is critical to the nomadic herding lifestyle of the Sámi people and is also charmingly associated with Kris Kringle and his sleigh full of goodies. In this class, you’ll learn how to make your very own needle-felted reindeer that fits in the palm of your hand, complete with antlers and a little bell on a red ribbon! This reindeer is laying down (no legs), and would be perfect for your holiday decor, nestled on some fake snow. Or you could also add it to your tree! Laura will take you step-by-step through the whole process, from winding the ball that starts the shape through forming the antlers and decorative elements. This class is designed for students who have some previous needle felting experience (especially if you have studied with Laura before) to build on your skills and try new techniques.
The listed class time includes one live Zoom session on Thursday, December 9 (2:00 – 5:00pm CT).
Supplies: Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
