ONLINE: How to Host a Gløgg Party with Kristi Bissell

December calls for something cheerful and warm to counteract the cold and lift our spirits. Why not invite friends over for a cozy afternoon of glögg (spiced mulled wine) and some tasty Scandinavian treats? Kristi will be sharing her recipes for homemade glögg, blue cheese and pear compote smørrebrød, and her great grandmother’s famous gingersnaps (pepparkakor)!
This Vesterheim cooking class is designed as a small-group cook-along and we invite exchange between the instructor and students in order to build community around food traditions. In this same spirit of sharing, we invite the whole family to experience this collaborative cooking and learning process. Only one registration is needed per household.
The listed class time includes one live Zoom on Sunday, December 5 (3:00-4:30pm CT).
Supplies: Participants will be provided with a shopping list and recipes prior to class. Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection.
Special Instructions: When registering for the class, please make sure to use the email address you’d like the Zoom meeting invitations sent to. You will receive links to the Zoom sessions by email sometime during the week prior to the class.
