Eriksen Translations makes Inc. 5000 List for Third Year in a Row

Brooklyn, NY – August 27, 2009 –Eriksen Translations Inc., a leading language services provider, has been named one of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the U.S. by Inc. magazine for the third year in a row.

The third annual Inc. 5000 is a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy: America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. The list is ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2005 through 2008.

“As we continue to listen to our clients and build our business around creating forward-thinking solutions to help them efficiently and effectively speak to the multilingual audiences they need to reach, it is a pleasure to be recognized as a successful innovator,” said Vigdis Eriksen, president and CEO of Eriksen Translations. “This is an exciting time for our company and our industry and it is so satisfying to be on the Inc. 5000 list every year since its inception.”

Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list actually increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year. The Inc. 5000 are responsible for creating more than 1 million jobs since their founding; making the list perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the economy.

And the translation and localization industry is no exception. As Inc.‘s Tanisha A. Sykes observed in the magazine, “the world of translation services and localization [is] a multibillion-dollar global market, where companies help bridge the communication gap between clients, businesses and individuals.” Poised between small translation providers who can only handle small-scale projects and giant corporations that require clients to bend to their processes, Eriksen continues to be a growing force that clients rely on to make localization easy while trusting that quality is never compromised.
