Dry, fine fall weather in store this week

Beautiful fall weather comes to Norway this week.

Beautiful fall weather comes to Norway this week.

The week starts well for the southern parts of the country, while Northerners can enjoy warm weather towards the end of the week.

Norway have a mild type of weather to expect this week. Sun, rain, sleet and snow are all to greet the country during the week.
“Northern Norway receives the least rainfall this week, while the worst weather is on the west coast and later in Trøndelag,” said state meteorologist Haakon Melhuus of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.

Norway has a mild type of weather to expect this week. Sun, rain, sleet and snow are all to greet the country during the week.

“Northern Norway receives the least rainfall this week, while the worst weather is on the west coast and later in Trøndelag,” said state meteorologist Haakon Melhuus of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.

Clear weather will prevail on the west coast during the first few days of the week, but as of Wednesday evening, a shift will take place.

“It will be beautiful weather the first few days in the west, but then it becomes more precarious. From Stavanger and further south, the cloud amount increases, and rain is expected in the southern West Coast,” says Melhuus.

North of Bergen, conditions will be a bit better than in the more southerly areas.

“There will be light wind, very mild and fine weather, and no rain, said the meteorologist.

Both Trøndelag and Central Norway will experience a pretty dry week, but is not entirely free of precipitation.

“There will be a little rainfall in the north Thursday and Friday, but it will be mostly sunny,” says Melhuus.

Eastern Norway, on the other hand, gets pretty gray weather this week.

“On Wednesday, there may be a little rain, and it will be mostly partly cloudy with light rain the rest of the week and over the weekend.”

There will come a little sleet and snow on the Eastern mountain ranges and in the inner regions of northern Norway. But it does not look like there are winter conditions in the lowlands of the same regions.

“Those who are ready for proper winter weather must wait a bit. Currently, it is mild weather, wind and precipitation that characterizes the weather situation,” says Melhuus.

Next week, it looks like southern Norway is the winner in the best weather contest.

“It will be easier for all of southern Norway starting Monday. After the weekend, it is Northern Norway that will have the worst weather,” says Melhuus.
