DNO says considering suing Oslo stock exchange

Norwegian oil producer DNO International said on Monday Sept. 21 it may sue the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) for what it saw as a ‘wilful breach of confidentiality’ that had a serious impact on its operations, reports Reuters.

DNO International ASA, the first foreign company to pump oil in Iraq since the 1970s, will be suspended from Oslo trading through Sepr. 23 after Kurdish authorities halted operations amid dispute over a stock sale, writes Bloomberg.com.

Norwegian oil producer DNO said they could fall sharply when trade resumes after Kurdish officials halted the company’s operations in Kurdistan for six weeks.

“The wrongful undertakings by OSE have now led to serious consequences to DNO,” DNO said in a statement on its website.
