Decreased sales of petroleum products
In April, total sales of petroleum products ended at 696 million liters. This is a decrease of 1.8 per cent or 13 million litres compared to April last year. Almost all of the different petroleum products decreased with the exception of sales of auto diesel.
Sales of auto diesel ended at 246 million liters; an increase of 8.9 per cent or 20 million liters compared to April 2009. Sales of auto diesel amounted to about 35 per cent of total sales of petroleum products. In April, sales of motor gasoline decreased by 9.7 per cent. Sales ended at 128 million liters; 14 million liters less than in April last year. For both auto diesel and motor gasoline the prices have increased. Compared to April 2009, prices of motor gasoline grew by 14.4 per cent, and prices of auto diesel grew by 12.9 per cent.
Sales of jet fuel ended at 57 million liters in April this year, which is a reduction of 10.5 per cent compared to April 2009. At the same time, sales of Marine gas oil and diesel ended at 136 million liters; 11 million liters less than in April last year. After some cold months followed by high sales of light heating oils, there was a decrease of 4 per cent in April. Total sales ended at 30 million liters.
