With a view to the sea and mountains

Along the quiet asphalt roads, the trip offers views of both ocean and mountains.

A customizable piece of the trip, take a detour and enjoy the view of the famous beach Mjelle. Enjoy the beach life or take a breather before continuing on.

Along the way, you have sea views. In the distance you can glimpse the Lofoten Wall, the island Landegode and some places you can see all the way to the goal: Kjerringøy.

On the other hand, you have the beautiful mountains of Nordland. Steigtind perhaps the best known.

Facts about the trip

The whole trip is about 40 miles. It follows Highway 834, walking and cycle 6-7 miles in the beginning, the rest along the road. There is not much traffic so it is quiet and easy to ride.

With only two long hills on the trip, both in less than 100 m., this is a bike most can be completed.

In a relaxed pace, the journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours cycling and a ferry ride of 10 minutes.

The trip can be extended in both directions, the trip continued on Kjerringøy and eventually to Steigenberger can certainly be recommended.
