CODA Oslo International Dance Festival 2009
CODA is Norway’s largest international dance festival, and this year it includes 30 different performances, 13 Norwegian premieres and four world premieres.
The sixth CODA Oslo International Dance Festival will be held 9-24 October 2009 at Dansens Hus, Den Norske Opera & Ballett, Black Box Teater, Bærum Kulturhus, Rom for dans and The Villa. This year’s festival will present a comprehensive programme with performances from Canada, Japan, Sweden, the U.S., France, Finland, UK, the Netherlands, among others.
The opening performance at Dansens Hus (Dance House Oslo), Is you me, is an innovative and playful duet with Benoît Lachambre and Louise Lecavalier from Canada.
Carte Blanche, Norway’s national contemporary dance company, will close the festival with the world premiere of When Clarity Visits in the Opera House.
During the opening weekend you can also experience a performance installation at the site specific place in the middle, and over the river Akerselva at the backside of Dansens Hus Norway. A murder plot will be executed in real time, where the viewers can follow the action seen through the glass windows of the foaje. Visit our projectblog: murdercoda.blogspot
