Celebrating the jobs at Statoil

Statoil contracts will employ 5000 people over four years.
Statoil has awarded contracts in the area of maintenance and modification of all Statoil installations on the Norwegian continental shelf in the next few years. The total contract value, options on 24.4 billion, with options is the value of 48.8 billion.
Preserving jobs
Aibel can be well satisfied with his share of the Framework Agreement. The company has gained a larger share in the year than in the previous period and has run away with the biggest piece of cake.
“We are very happy today. Our estimates are that the contract has a value in excess of 2 billion annually. With a contract period of four years it will ensure that further employment for Aibelansatte at all its locations. This was going our way” said communications director at Aibel, Bjørg Sandal said.
In a press release that said the contract Aibel has especially great value for Hammerfest and Harstad. In Hammerfest Aibel has an established partnership with Hammerfest Industrial Services (HIS). At Harstad, Aibel has established cooperation with Momek.
According to the message, the company will now be employing more.
Aker Solutions is also one of the parties that are included from previous contract period. Aker estimated the typical annual contract value of 1.1 billion per year.

These are services and projects that are within our core competencies and will be delivered from their main locations in Stavanger, Bergen and Trondheim, all of which are strong regional centers for our operations along the Norwegian coast” says Stian Vemmestad, director of maintenance and modification activities (MMO) at Aker Solutions the press release.
