The American Coordinating Council of Norway (ACCN) is pleased to invite all our Norwegian and American friends to the 2011 American Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, July 3, 2011 in Frognerparken, Oslo, Norway. Last year’s 25th anniversary celebration was our most successful ever.

The ACCN is a non-profit council of American organizations founded in 1985. The ACCN facilitates networking and collaboration amongst its member organizations to promote their shared goals of strengthening American-Norwegian ties. To this end we get together each year to put on one of the best, and biggest, American Independence Day events outside of the US.

Entertainment

ID2011 will kicks-off on Sunday, July 3rd from 12:00 noon until 17:00 and will feature home-spun Scandinavian vocal and instrumental treasures performed by the intercontinental Duo Scandinavica, comprised of Lori Ann Reinhall and Jim Nelson. Frognerparken will groove to the sound of Airbuzz, a popular travel agency group from Oslo, Norway who will perform favorites for fans of all ages. Visit our web-site, www.accn.no, for more information.

Raffle Prizes

This year’s raffle prizes are amazing – ranging from several chances to win airline tickets to the US, several hotel weekend get-away throughout Norway and tons of fantastic prizes, too many to mention, all for the 20 NOK raffle ticket price.

Beneficiaries

The ACCN receives no funding for this event and relies solely on the generous support of our sponsors, advertiser and the hard working army of volunteers; and of course, you, the public. The proceeds of our raffle sales are earmarked for deserving non-profit organizations and victims of natural disasters.
