STOCKHOLM (Dow Jones)–Denmark’s largest brewer Carlsberg A/S (CARL-A.KO) said Friday its Norwegian company Ringnes AS has signed a letter of intent to sell its brewery in Arendal to a group of local investors.

Ringnes will keep a 20% share in Arendal, which has 145 employees. No financial details of the deal were disclosed.

The sale of the brewery will make Ringnes’ production structure more efficient, Carlsberg said. It said a number of terms and conditions will have to be clarified before a final agreement can be signed.
