This week, one of Norway’s most fascinating music groups prepare to wow Washington, D.C. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to experience classical music with a twist, as Café de Concert performs at D.C. hotspots Tryst Coffeehouse and Mayflower Renaissance Hotel.

Café de Concert held its inagural performance in June 2003 at a restaurant in Oslo. During this show, a variety of classical music was presented, featuring musicians from the Barratt Due Music Institute and the Norwegian State Academy of Music. Art and photo exhibitions as well as ballet performances were also on the program.

Since then, Café de Concert has aimed to present classical music to a larger audience. They musicians they recruit are both students and professionals – and the level of musicianship is high. And with a relaxed, positive atmosphere, between the pieces, it is possible to both have something to eat as well as talk with the person sitting beside you.

This group of musician has recently introduced their fresh take on classical music to an international audience. Recent shows in New York have been very successful, and attending a performance by Café de Concert is highly recommended. Both shows in D.C. are free. We suggest you come early, as a full house is expected.
