BREAKING NEWS: NAW to cease publishing as of the Feb. 6 issue

Yes, it is the end of an era. The Norwegian American Weekly, North America’s last remaining Norwegian newspaper, will publish its last issue next Friday.

Needless to say, we’re distraught over this. Please hold your questions; save your phone calls, emails, and carrier pigeons; refrain from offering suggestions on how to avoid this terrible fate, at least until after you’ve read the issue. We can’t promise that answers will be provided, but we hope it will at least be a fitting tribute.

Thank you for all your support over the years and decades.
