Rachel Peterson is a child and youth rights advocate and educator. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and her M.Phil. in Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies from the Centre for Peace Studies at Norway's Arctic University in Tromsø. Rachel currently works on child welfare and children's mental health policy in Minnesota. In her free time, she is part of a team working on establishing Minneapolis as one of the first UNICEF Child Friendly Cities in the nation, teaches and translates Norwegian, and loves spending time outdoors, especially with family and friends.
