H.M. King Harald opened the international trade show Aqua Nor in Trondheim on August 18.

For 30 years Aqua Nor has served as a meeting place for suppliers of equipment and services, fish farmers, researchers and fisheries authorities from many countries.

“I am very impressed with the incredible development that the industry has undergone during the years, both in terms of production of salmon, of technological advances, and not least the development of markets for salmon and salmon products all over the world,” said the King of Norway.

During four days around 400 exhibitors, representing more than 600 manufacturers and suppliers, from 23 countries will be showing the latest developments in aquaculture technology and equipment during Aqua Nor. In addition, many important meetings and seminars will be held.

“I congratulate the Nor-Fishing Foundation with Aqua Nor’s 30th anniversary and wish you all good luck with this year’s exhibition and hope that you will all have pleasant, interesting and profitable days here in Trondheim,” concluded King Harald V.
