Crown Princess Mette-Marit spent the weekend in Miami to open the new Seamen’s Church, which was named after her, and therefore has not had a chance to watch the program that aired on Sunday evening.

Nearly one million Norwegians saw the first part of the NRK-portrait of Crown Princess Mette-Marit on Sunday evening. Herself, she must rely on her husband Haakon’s opinion of the TV-program.

The Crown Princess has not seen the program before it aired on TV Sunday night.
“The Crown Prince has been allowed to watch it, and he says he recognizes me. So I’ll trust it,” she says to NRK.

The first part was shown on Sunday night, and 909,000 viewers tuned in to the hour-long program that showed the Crown Princess’s family, both in everyday and work-related contexts, as well as interviews with Mette-Marit’s closest family and friends.

“It has been special to work so closely with someone who has been following me for two years. It has been very nice, and also quite challenging in some situations, but I think it is a very nice project,” said the Crown Princess.

The second part of the portrait will air on Sunday, November 27. This allows TV viewers to join the Crown Princess on the job at the Palace, and on trips at home and abroad. In addition, the program reveals several new aspects of Mette-Marit.
