A colorful Oslo Fashion Week (OFW) kicked off on August 10. Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who was named the “Fashion Ambassador” of 2009, was one of the 1400 who attended the official opening at Oslo Congress Center on August 11.
This is the 12th time OFW is held, since it was first established by Pål Vasbotten in 2004. OFW is the only arena in Norway, where the Norwegian fashion elite comes to view the newest and hottest trends of Norwegian design and fashion. OFW takes place twice a year; once in February and once in August.
Since the first show, over 400 collections and 100 designers and brand names have been introduced.
The designers who showed at Oslo Fashion Week 2009 were: Armando Santos, Batlak og Selvig, Epilogue, Fam Irvoll, Flinga Clothing, Leila Hafzi, Mfeng, Moga, Moods of Norway, Pikene, TinaH, TSH, Vips Organized Chaos, Bjørn Borg and Ulland & Groos
