Mueller of Norway House recognized

Jeff Mueller, director of administration and finance at Norway House, Minneapolis, has been honored by Norway’s King Harald V with the rank of Knight First Class in the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. The award recognizes outstanding service to Norway in the areas of business, education, and culture.

Mueller has been a tireless volunteer on behalf of Norway for more than 40 years. In addition to his current responsibilities with Norway House, Mueller is a past president of the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce and serves on its board of directors. Additionally, he has been active in the Syttende Mai Committee, the Norwegian independence day celebration, the annual troop exchange program with the Minnesota National Guard and the Norwegian Home Guard (NOREX), and Torske Klubben, among many other organizations and groups throughout the years.

“We are very proud of Jeff’s recognition and honored His Majesty King Harald V has conferred this distinction,” said Christina Carleton, executive director, Norway House. “Jeff has been an integral part of the success of Norway House since its earliest days and has long been an active participant in the Norwegian-American community.”

A native of Arlington, Minn., Mueller attended Augsburg University and graduated with a degree in political science. He resides in Robbinsdale and was recently appointed to a second four-year term on the Robbinsdale Charter Commission.
