Two Norwegians detained in Congo
The court case will finally start on Friday August 14, reports NRK. If convicted of the murder they might face the death penalty.
NRK has reported they both deny the accusations.
The men claim they were attacked by a group of guerillas while driving through the jungle. They say the robbers shot the driver, while they themselves were able to escaped.
According to Dagbladet, the two Norwegians were in the process of setting up a private security company in Uganda. They were on their way to a training camp in the Congo when they were attacked. They both have served in the Norwegian Defence.
Aftenposten visited and interviewed the two accused in the jail in Kisangani, Congo on August 11.
