Slippery roads, but ice is not the cause

Local road workers have an unusual problem on Inderøy in Nord-Trøndelag. A tanker truck on the way to the dairy in Verdal had forgotten to tighten a faucet.
“This section of road is smeared with butter. They are trying to wash the road clean,” says operator Anita Berglund at Road Traffic Central to adressa.no.
About a mile of county road 755 between Skarnsundet and Utøya was covered with butter.
“Maybe he was disappointed by the lack of snow, and tried to make the road slippery despite that,” says Berglund at the Road Traffic Central.
The butter has made the road very slippery, and the Road Traffic Central encourages motorists to be cautious. So far, the butter has not caused any traffic problems.
