Norwegian central bank looking for Senior Analyst

The Fixed Income Asset Strategies group at Norges Bank ( Norwegian central bank) is currently looking to strengthen the credit team with a Senior Analyst.  The group is responsible for the strategic exposure to various fixed income markets. We are looking for a dedicated professional with experience from company and sector analysis. Specific responsibilities will depend on previous experience. The position is located in Oslo, and some travel will be required.

Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) is responsible for the management of the Government Pension Fund – Global (previously the Government Petroleum Fund), the Foreign Exchange Reserves and the Government Petroleum Insurance Fund. The portfolios are valued at more than NOK 2000 billion, and are invested in international fixed income and equity markets. Main responsibilities:

  • Industry and company research
  • Build models for valuation and monitoring
  • Provide input to the portfolio manager

Required qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with strong academic records
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Research experience on company/sector level
  • Independent work method
