Canada eliminated Norway from the ice hockey world championship in Zurich with a 5-1 win on Sunday May 3. This is Canada’s fifth straight victory at the tournament, reports AP.

Mads Zuccarello Aasen tied the game for Norway in the first period, but the Canadians then dominated and outshot their opponents 47-30.

The win officially eliminated Norway from qualifying for the quarterfinals, while it assures Belarus of a place. Canada finishes the second round on Monday May 4 against Finland, with the winner taking first place in the group.

After a great win over Denmark on April 27 Norway lost 2-3 to Belarus on April 28. Norway will play Slovakia on Monday May 4.
